Truffle prices: compare comparable lots.

Listings updated as things change.

Sellers can change their lot’s price and available quantity. Connected pages receive updates automatically, without a manual reload. An indicator warns of an interrupted connection.

Update speed depends on the network. It does not replace sellers updating stock or create a market price without sales. Before a request, the server checks that the displayed lot version is still current.

What to check before the number.

Compare the stated species first, then origin, harvest date, declared quality and quantity. A small white-truffle lot and a black-truffle lot belong to different segments.

The catalogue distinguishes Tuber magnatum, Tuber melanosporum, Tuber aestivum, Burgundy truffle, Tuber borchii and Tuber brumale. Scientific names clarify the seller’s declaration; they do not authenticate it.

Asking price, completed sale, market reference.

A listing’s price is chosen by its seller. A completed sale has a price actually agreed for the lot. The future Tuber Exchange reference will group comparable sales; it will not set sellers’ prices.

Commercial payments are not enabled and no quotations from real sales are published. Market examples demonstrate the process. Their amounts are not current market prices.

The planned observatory method.

The prepared calculation uses a 72-hour window and a quantity-weighted median. Each segment needs at least 10 sales, 3 independent buyers and 3 independent sellers.

Only paid, delivered, undisputed sales will qualify. Related-party trades will be excluded. A reference remains hidden if one buyer or seller exceeds 40% of volume. The site will indicate insufficient data.

This method is prepared in the software. Feeding it verified payments and deliveries is not yet operational. It does not guarantee stable prices.

Compare the full cost.

The model plans a seller-paid 1% platform commission on truffle value excluding VAT. Payment, transport and possible inspections are separate. The calculator simulates payment fees; a complete quote is needed before any sale.
